Asian restaurants near the Trocadéro: Japanese, Chinese, Thai
There is no Asian restaurant right on the Place du Trocadéro, but there are about a dozen a few minutes' walk away. The Chinese spots are on avenue Kléber, the Japanese ones on rue Lauriston and place de Mexico, and the Thai ones on the side streets around them. Here are 12 verified places, sorted by cuisine: Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese and Korean.

Which Japanese restaurant is near the Trocadéro?
Hokusaï, the Japanese fusion restaurant of the Le Metropolitan hotel on place de Mexico, is listed in the Michelin Guide. For something simpler: Ponzu on rue Lauriston (sushi, bao, poke), Y Sushi on rue Benjamin Franklin and Green Star Sushi on rue Saint-Didier.
Is there a Japanese restaurant at the Aquarium de Paris?
Not anymore. Ozu, the Japanese restaurant inside the Aquarium, closed in 2011. A seasonal Japanese terrace, Hanami, then took over the forecourt in some summers. The Aquarium now advertises the Casa Trocadéro summer terrace in front of its entrance. For a proper Japanese meal, head up to rue Lauriston or place de Mexico.
Where can I eat Chinese food at the Trocadéro?
On avenue Kléber, a few minutes from the square: Chez Zhong and Chez Qin at number 69, and Mandarin de Ming at number 75, open since 1988. For a special occasion, Shang Palace, the Cantonese restaurant of the Shangri-La hotel on avenue d'Iéna, is in our Trocadéro restaurants guide.
Is there a Thai restaurant at the Trocadéro?
Yes, three. Tong-Ming Thaï on rue de Magdebourg, open since 1985, Little Bambou on rue Lauriston, the sister of Bambou, and L'Escale Bangkok on rue de Longchamp.
What about Vietnamese or Korean food?
Lac Hong, on rue Lauriston, serves family-style Vietnamese food (spring rolls, pho, caramel pork). Woo Jung, on boulevard Delessert, is a Korean restaurant open since 1994, just below the square.
Do I need to book?
For dinner, yes, it is a good idea: most of these restaurants have small dining rooms. Chez Zhong, Chez Qin, Ponzu and Hokusaï can be booked on TheFork. Y Sushi does not take reservations.
Craving Asian food after the Aquarium?
The Aquarium de Paris is in the Trocadéro gardens, a few minutes from avenue Kléber and rue Lauriston. Book for dinner, the dining rooms are often small.
