The Galerie de l'Homme

The Galerie de l'Homme is the museum's permanent exhibition, laid out across 2,500 sq m. Its trail invites you to explore the history of the human species through three major questions.

  • Who are we? Five traits that define human beings: beings of flesh, beings of thought, beings of bonds, beings of speech, plural beings.
  • Where do we come from? The biological evolution of the different human lineages and the diversity of their ways of life, extended on the mezzanine by masterpieces of Prehistory.
  • Where are we going? A projection on the future of the human species.

A sensory trail set up along the windows rounds out the visit: a location model, objects to touch and to hear, tactile panels paired with the display cases.
